Simple, they are the only tour-caliber golf balls with 5 layers.  When designing a golf ball, designers are looking to create a ball that has the best combination of distance and control.  This is difficult because as you design for distance, you tend to lose control or spin on a golf ball.  To help get both, designers use different layers on the golf ball to perform.  Low spin off the driver for distance and higher spin on irons and wedges is the goal.  While other golf balls have 2 or 3 layers, the TaylorMade TP5 and TP5x have 5 layers, with each layer helping to tune that combination of long drives and greenside control.

TaylorMade TP5x – For players looking for less spin on drives and long irons shots to achieve maximum distance while still achieving soft feel and greenside performance.

How to order:

1. Click the link below to start your order.  You will have the option of ordering standard white golf balls for an average of $41.25 per dozen ($164.97, plus tax), or you may choose to personalize your golf balls using the TaylorMade MySymbol feature for just $15 more ($179.97, plus tax).
2. Once you have made your choices and your order is placed, you will receive a separate email from Western Lakes confirming your order and requesting payment.  Please note that orders are not submitted to TaylorMade until payment is made.

Please note – When filling out your order, it is recommended that you choose the drop ship option so your golf balls are shipped directly to you.  If you do not choose this option, your order will be shipped to Western Lakes.
