Testimonials
“Western Lakes Summer PGA Golf program was an incredible experience for my two sons. The teaching, communication and overall golf experience was amazing. Garrett and his staff taught my boy’s golf skills and etiquette on the course that carry over to character building off the course. We will be part of more programs in the future!”

PGA Junior League Golf is a fun, social and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls, ages 13 and under, to learn and enjoy the game of golf from PGA and LPGA Professionals. Like many other recreational youth sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and play on teams with friends. WLGC is sponsoring two teams this year – it’s a great way to get kids involved in the game!
We are officially opening the Spring Junior clinics. These small group lessons will be run by our Director of Junior Golf Colton Brendel. They will also feature Andy Friberg who has 25+ years of teaching experience, and our new Associate Professional Adam Forsythe.
The Spring clinics will feature two different options for students. Option one is designed for students to prepare for our intermediate Jr Program. Option two is for advanced students who have completed at least one season in our Jr Intermediate program, or students who are planning on participating in our PGA Jr league.
All Clinics Feature Instruction, Games & On-Course Play
Feel free to reach out to Colton directly to discuss which session would be best for your student.

Transition to Intermediate Clinic:
This program is specifically designed for students who’ve been in our beginner class in previous seasons, and are making the move to our intermediate class. This also would greatly benefit students who are younger and did one season of intermediate but feel they might have needed a bit more exposure to the game.
A large proportion of our Intermediate class takes place on the course, and this can be intimidating to some students coming from beginner. Our primary concern with this class is ensuring the students not only receive some much-needed relearning of the fundamentals but also are gradually introduced to the golf course.
We will work on concepts like on-course etiquette, how to play a golf hole, and club selection.
Beginning Golf later (10+) Clinic:
This clinic is specifically designed for students who are a too old for our beginner program and are interested in learning the game of golf but feel like the Intermediate class would be too challenging without having any previous golf knowledge. It also would benefit older students who’ve done our Intermediate program but feel like they would like a deeper focus on the mechanics, and fundamentals.
Each season we have a large portion of students who are total beginners but over the age of 10+, and a lot of JR Programs do not serve this population well. We want to encourage this demographic to play the game and help them understand that they are still early!
In this clinic we will introduce the students to the pure fundamentals of the game from putting, chipping, pitching, and full swing in an accelerated format so students can feel ready to participate in the intermediate program.
Junior Supplemental Clinic:
This clinic is designed for students who have attended at least one season of our intermediate program or have ample exposure to the game of golf. This includes players from other JR Programs, PGA JR League, JR Cup Golf, or have taken sufficient private lessons.
This clinic can be viewed as an advanced JR clinic, and its target is students who have more experience with golf. We will spend time covering the basics, but this is not a beginner clinic. We will completely cover the fundamentals in the first class, but will then dive into course management, short game variety, and practice habits quite quickly.
Students registering for this series are serious about golf and looking to jump-start their season with extra instruction.
